Badminton light height cannot be chosen from one universal number. The correct suspension elevation depends on clear ceiling height, court position, luminaire distribution, output, aiming and the class of play. Position is equally important because players repeatedly look upward to track the shuttle. The BWF international-facility specification does not give one fixture mounting height for all halls.
